Business2Blogger

June 17th, 2010

I friend of mine ,who is also a paid blogger has referred me to a new (to me anyway) company called Business2Blogger
I looked really interesting so I decided to take a chance and sign up! It’s FREE and it does exactly what it says on the tin ,It connects up bloggers with businesses and what do you have ?
A match made in heaven!!
Apparently, the company will give me the opportunity to choose from not hundreds, but thousands of paid opportunities, products, services, discounts, and more and it does sound very exciting to me!

It seems to have taken a fresh twist on the traditional, if not somewhat boring paid to blog scene. I have my eye on the the non payment compensation part. Book reviews? I am so there!

I look forward to be part of this blogging platform!

Wish me luck!

Silly Me Stupid

May 10th, 2010

It just keeps getting better! The Alexia rating on Temporal-Confusion has gone through the roof in the past couple of weeks. I knew where the visitors were coming from due to a wonderful little application called Aw-Stats which resides in my control panel. I laughed and thought it would die after a few days but no it just keeps on coming! Soon my baby TC will no longer be the ugly cousin of my blogs and have the lowest ranking stats..TC is currently on a 592,111, to give you a comparison CraftsULove have a ranking of 628,567 so the traffic coming through this place is off the scale! Who would have thought that a month ago I was sitting on over 1,002,136! It just shows you how sick people actually are! It has been two months since I’ve shown a card on here,so after a couple of rants and pathetic bitching posts the viewers have been rolling in!! And the cash mind…
It is quite difficult breaking in new site or blog and prepping her for a life of prostituation ie paid blogging but it has been relatively easy with this baby! I think at the most I had two $10 posts here, and because the traffic was quite slow that was good going *laughs* Now? I think that Temporal is going to be quite a little cash cow!
Stupid people lining my pockets! I don’t know which is funnier!! But thank you! Thank you all!
*kaa-ching*

Kettles on..

April 29th, 2010

Busy day today with the phone lines in Temporal HQ.. Ring, Ring, Ring no doubt that’s our lot for the next six months..

My MS nurse called first thing to confirm ‘ my choice ‘ of DMT- Rebif with the Rebismart .  I didn’t bother to mention the small fact that I will be starting LDN instead. She isn’t the type of woman you want to argue with, shes’ annoying and very long winded once she gets going. She’s an older bird who thinks that she knows all and everything about MS, I don’t have the patience to deal with her so I adopt a nod your head and agree approach, it saves time and energy-sorry stupid people annoy me and it will probably get to the stage that I am deliberately provoking her with choice remarks. Someone once  told me that 90% of people are stupid and should be treated as such so I do! Winding people up with remarks that are guaranteed to spark a fit is a speciality of mine. It is incredibly childish and pathetically sad I know , but damn it is soo much fun! I am one of those rare breeds that you can actually say ” You don’t get out much do you?” and it is true!!

I also got a call from the Open University.. everyone make the appropriate noises please..

I emailed them last week to enquire about restarting my studies after last years Health issues. And after a very nice ,long phone call the answer is yes, but this time she wants to set up some sort of support network to help me along. Last year the major issue that caused me to drop out with studying at OU was the sight, the extended bout of Optic Neuritis that I had to endure. I don’t know exactly what type of support they intend to offer me but she seems to think that I would benefit from it. Good call really, I have never told the OU that I have MS so -Oh I don’t know really. I rattle on about it here at TC but I rarely, if ever, inform official parties of my disability as in most cases it does not interfere.

I also got an email from a former client of mine asking me to redesign/update a website of his. Back before I decided to have babies I was self employed as a web designer. I was surprisingly very successful at it and ended up with more that a handful of clients on my books. When DS1 was born my priorities changed somewhat, and basically  my son was growing up behind my back, so I decided to sell up and move on. The ‘company’ name ie reputation and client books went for a tidy six figure sum.

Give me a PC and an internet connection and I will make money- and not a webcam insight!

Speaking of work, I do have three Paid bloggings to do by tomorrow ,so sod off for the time being.

In retrospect

April 11th, 2010

I  have decided to reopen TC for the foreseeable future  (ten days at least) because there are two paid postings up here ,and for the past two years I have never had an opp rejected and I don’t intend to start now. I have already located to another domain, so this directory will be removed once I get the go ahead.

I have also decided to give up work and sit on the dole, I have never been on benefits in all my years, but there you go. I am disabled but apparently not disabled enough according to the wise old owls over at UKS, so to honour them I have decided to sit down and be more disabled in order to appease them. You wonderful tax payers will be paying for this ,and the other blogs once it happens, plus  all the stash that I will no doubt purchase,so I do hope that you enjoy it!

Shot down in flames

YEAH

Go ahead and live your life as an MS sufferer for just one day,and you would soon enough change your prospective.

The UK Governments official response to MS patients requesting that the procedure being available in the United Kingdom.

The Government is aware of Dr Paolo Zamboni’s findings.  However, as this is the only piece of research on the link between CCSVI and MS that is currently available, it is important to approach such findings with caution until a further review of the research has been conducted.

A number of medical advisers to the MS Society have read the papers published by Dr Zamboni, and have heard him lecture on the subject.  The advisers have provided the following statement about the alleged link between MS and CCSVI:

We are not convinced by the evidence that blockages to draining veins from the brain are specific to people with multiple sclerosis, or that this explains the cause of multiple sclerosis at any stage of the condition.

We are all agreed that people with multiple sclerosis are not likely to benefit by treatments that dilate blood vessels and consider these procedures to carry risks with no evidence for benefit.

The treatment for CCSVI is not available for patients with multiple sclerosis in the United Kingdom because there is no convincing evidence to suggest that it is safe or beneficial to people with MS.

The Government is determined to make the UK the best place in the world for health research, development and innovation and to invest its substantial health research budget in the best possible way.

The Government’s research strategy ‘Best Research for Best Health’ is resulting in an expansion of the Department’s research programmes and in significant new funding opportunities for health research.  The National Institute for Health Research programmes support high quality research of relevance and in areas of high priority to patients and the NHS.

W00T!

October 9th, 2009

Day Ten and the Spellbinders Nestabilities have arrived!!

To my shame I haven’t had a play just yet..WE rushed out first thing for an emergency doctors appointment with the boys. They have had a harsh ,barking cough for the past three weeks or so, and it just would not shift, so to be on the safe side we paid a visit to the GP. All is good.. just a very red and sore throat!

About ten minutes after we arrived home, the postie arrived with some presents for me! The DH also got a strategy guide ( for which game I couldn’t tell you ,I wasn’t paying attention!) The postie also brought me Frostbitten by Kelley Armstrong and I am just finishing chapter two. I want to take it easy with the reading incase my eyes start playing up!

I am currently watching some Nestabilities videos on YouTube – I want to get the sandwich combo right!

Expect the unexpected

October 2nd, 2009

I got a totally unexpected  little windfall earlier today. I won £100 on a one pound scratch card!! I rarely if ever buy one and on this occasion it was the usual  , I had £1.12 left over at the counter so I put the 12p in the collection tub and bought a scratchcard!! lol So what did I do with it? save it?use it for bills? hell no ! I spent it on me! well, mostly me ; I bought the DH a Wii game ,the kids got to pick a toy each and then I jumped online this evening and bought myself- two books, Cursed to Death ( LA Banks) and Heat Seeker by Lora Leigh. I also bought some card/paper packs from SillyMonkeyCrafts.

I still have about £20 left but I will keep that for next weeks’ buys!

All this buying and very little creating eh?

Today was an Asda shop and that always runs expensive, on this occasion it was £89 odds ..shhsh..

To be fair , it did include two new winter coats for my boys and a coat for a friends little boy, Adam. He has just turned six months and there was this seriously cute little blue and white coat for only £8 so I just had to get it.. It is all soft and fleecy and well it had the aww factor written all over it! I’m a mommy to two little boys , and I can shop for boys! Little girls- I wouldn’t know where to begin. I have never been a pinkie girlie myself , I’m a sketchers and boot cut jeans kinds gal; Always have been and always will!!

The very well trained DH did buy me Frostbitten from Amazon last night. One very subtle hint was all it took…He is very well trained ya know! Bless him!

I also snuck the newish Mika album ( The Boy Who Knew Too Much) into the shopping basket. I am listening to it right now- very good, like it lots- it was worth the wait!

I have it sync’ed to the MP3 player , so that means beddie bye time!!

I know already

September 25th, 2009

I know I said that the order from CraftsULove was the last order for a while.. Well I lied..

I am a weak assed individual who has the unfortunate ability to spend money that she hasn’t earned yet..

I bought a 6×6 coredinations pack and placed a smallish order with ScrapbookVillage who just so happened to be offering a 25% discount this weekend..

I um also just bought myself two cuttlebug alphas (Harmony & Olivia) and the Nestabilities standard large and small circles with the scallop circles to match..Both are from the US incase you think I have lost my marbles entirely, so I saved a fair bit on UK prices. It does nothing to support the UK or my Global Footprint but there you go.

The alphas ran me £28 including shipping ,and the Nestabilities were a teensy £41 odd pence. I think I will save my blogging pennies next month and buy another set of the Nestabilities.

My SU order is due in soon, plus the new SU catty is out very, very soon so unless I find a craft store that is offering  a 100% discount plus free shipping then that is me until next month.

I was a very good girl yesterday and I have sorted my craft area completely. I dumped about three bin liners worth of stash, so it is all very neat and tidy!

Tomorrow evening I start my Christmas Cards.. I am SUPER ORGANISED WOMAN!! HEAR ME ROAR!!
I am also a very tired puppy, so I think I will creep quietly off to bed and pretend that I didn’t spend what I did tonight..

As Fast as I Can

August 27th, 2009

Somehow this version of wordpress got corrupted, so in the past five minutes I’ve had to  export the database, remove the wp installation, install a fresh version, configure it then import the database and go off to find a temporary template. Tada! go me!

Nerf.

I’ve been having a reluctant but serious cleanup of the craft area. I won’t talk about what was dumped..Nasty. Dumping once covetted craft stash is nothing short of pure evil.

But still..

The DH has told me if I want to pre-order the new lot of Pro-Marker colours I can. And honestly I am in two minds whether or not to do it. It is a fair chunk of change to be splashing out on-whether my b-day is around the corner or not. We’ll see is all I can say.

I’ve got paid blogging to do on a few of my other sites, so I’ll keep this short for now. Photos of recent makes have been taken, but I’ll upload them later- there’s money to be made!!
