Can you see what I see?

July 16th, 2010

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of SeeSaw. All opinions are 100% mine.

We have Sky + and whether is is down to laziness or the small fact that we are totally worn  out after watching the boys all day we usually end up recording our favourite programmes then re-watching them when it is convenient for us.

SeeSaw is an online TV service with has both free and paid for content. The content is from various providers; BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5,  etc

You can watch hundreds of programs which are free (and completely legal) plus you even have the opportunity to rent premium shows from both tthe UK and the US.

My first stop was to check out the Comedy Section and see what they had on offer. 52 episodes of Red Dwarf! Happy days! It’s a shame that they don’t carry Kath & Kim though, myself and the dearest husband were watching that last night. I just crack up at that show- secretly Kel reminds me of you know who, but don’t say it out loud! He would kill me if he heard me even suggest that!

I get to have the telly in the bedroom all to myself tonight though. It is the Biggest Loser (2008) final tonight, I know okay?

I want Sam or Alison to win. I don’t really like KB for some reason but at least Cosi got kicked out already I so cannot stand that guy!

Still plugging away with the LDN. Last night wasn’t too bad to be honest. I awoke at 3am ish again, went down to the toilet (went and was back within two minutes!) then it took me about five minutes to drop off again.

I was tired and wanting to fall asleep ,but the Boeing 747 that was parked next time was having none of it!

For the past few days, the Dearest Husband has had a throat infection , and has started snoring. Lovely, wonderful, what a joy. I am complete insomniac due to the LDN and Rebif , but this episode is seriously not helping matters.

To cap it all off, this morning he rolled over , took a look at me (two hours sleep and unwashed hair) and said ” You look like Sh*t”

No doubt not so darling soon to be ex was up late last night rereading 101 Sweet things to say to your girlfriend.

I got up soon after and made breakfast for the children.

I have taken over the boys care from 7 am till 7pm everyday this week because he is “sick” .

I took the LDN at 11am and to be honest he came down at 12 noon and let me off for two hours, so I managed to sleep off today’s dose. I do think that time frame works for me providing that I do manage to get a rest about an hour later. Tonight will be the killer though, I hope the isomnia clears up soon, I do manage to play catch up in the end but it is very trying to say the least.

Hopefully it will all be worth it in the long run?

Yeah, hopefully

So what’s been happening of late? Nothing spectacular to report I’m afraid!

Dear Son One is free from school for the next eight weeks!! It doesn’t mean we get a lie-in or anything as nice mind, the boys are awake a around 7.30am and poor muggins mommy is up and at ‘em shortly after!

It does meam that we get breakfast out of the way early enough and have the day to ourselves. Will and I are thinking that maybe tomorrow morning that we go to Toys’r’ US or similar and pick up some new playthings with the left over birthday money.Hopefully they will have some educational toys that are age specific for the boys there. Last time we called in the stock was a little low and the choice wasn’t that great.

No holiday this year , just lots of days out to keep the boys entertained, although saying that for the past two days the weather has been absolutely horrific and has been blowing up something that wouldn’t be out of place mid November!

Anyways I haven’t cleared from the planet or anything like that.It is summer and we have both kids at home, first and foremost they are top priority. We made some cards today for Granny and Grandad- plus a ruddy great mess that daddy moaned loudly at whilst he cleaned it all up!!

Not much has changed with regards to the craft/games room situation unfortunately,I’m more than a little frustrated about it but it will be resolved soon enough no doubt.

Between yesterday evening and this afternoon I bought myself a set of oval/scalloped ovals last night and six Tim Holtz distress inks ! Both have been dispatched already,so happy days! I haven’t messed with Distress Inks to date but after reading the Craft Stamper for the past six month or so I have been gently pursaded to do so. The Inks are from Cutting Edge Crafts are a very silly £3.99 each-so what could I do?

Quixotic Paperie have a few new CC Design stamp designs that I do want but they will have to wait for a spell-same goes for the new Basic Grey paper that is just out.

I am bored silly to be perfectly honest, I keep walking in here (the craft room) and feel like bursting into tears. It is so not fair!!

We thought we had Santa all sewn up for the boys and well within the budget we had given ourselves. We went to today to Smyths ToyStore to get one last pack of track and the three Trains that we needed to complete it. We got them and a another trackmaster set that was reduced from £42.99 to £23.99 a  Mario Kart Race track for Ds1 and a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse playset for DS2.. Instead of the £50 we expected to be paying out we somehow managed to spend another £129.99 Oh dear.

Which brings the grand total of Santa this year to – just over £512..yeah. I best go and wash the word sucker from my forehead!

what can you do though?  At almost five and almost three years of age, they remember all these things. We have played it differently in previous years as they were younger but it is a completely different ball game these days.

DS1 stars in his Christmas play on Thursday and then we break till January 4th!! Oh myself and the boys are going to see Santa on Friday- big excitment there!!

I just paid for the eBay massacre that I had the other evening-not bad £35. pennies and that included postage. I uh also spotted an Anya Miss Love set at Quixotic Paperie for a very silly £11.95 so I just had to..Yeah I’m bad and easily led but what can you do? Don’t answer that.

Still Here..

Still bumming my way around the Internet doing nothing much else but shopping!

I’ve been on a bit of a spending splurge recently..To be honest I think I’ve gone way over the £60 mark by now… eeeks My bad!

I am also on a mission to sort my existing stash mess and make it an um.. unmess.. I have too much stuff and half of it has never been used- just thrown into the cupboards etc and forgotten about it. Tonight’s order is the last and I mean it!! Craftsulove are offering free shipping until Friday evening, and I just love the variety that retailer offers, so yeah I filled a basket for myself!! Issue Eight of Creative Cardmaking and yet another CuttleBug folder plus a few stamps and some bits of paper is all it takes to make me a happy bunny!!

Well, gotta go!! I need to be up by 7.30am in order to make breakfast for the lads, so I am on an 11pm curfew!!

When people try to rip you off?

I have several domains floating around the Internet and well I’m a busy gal who’s online/PC time is somewhat limited. I honestly don’t have time to make new layouts each and every time for those most of them. I have nine domains in total ,so I sometimes I do outsource and hire someone to make me a theme.

I normally use the same designer , her work is excellent ( graphic-wise and valid coding etc) I gave her free reign with a design I wanted for my main PPP site. She sent me it this evening. I requested the premium package with a favicon/ avatar and extra content pages that we agreed on for the price of $40. I didn’t get the premium, I got the a package without the favicon/icon or extra pages. It isn’t the the fact that there is about $20 between the two more that fact that she thought I would neglect to notice the fact. She hasn’t been paid and won’t be until I get what I requested to begin with.

I have black pepper in my eye!! The DH bought a new toaster today and asked me to clear a space (ie move the old one and clean the space  ) so he could do the elements thing. I half knocked a bottle of fine black pepper and obviously got some in me eyeball. Say it hurts like F*cking hell anyone?!

There's always one..

Missing Pro-Marker…I’ve lost my Ivory Pro-marker ! I’ve ransacked the craftroom but to no avail- No pro-marker,well not the one I needed anyways.. I found another 76 of them, but not an ivory insight!  I went on a little runaround online and found a little store that wasn’t charging up to £2.50 postage for a £1.80 odds pen! I also bought a Fiskars swivel control knife ,another anti-static bag, some foam tape and some DS tape. Happy little shop!

I have had a little play with my Heidi and Gretel stamps that arrived last week , but true to me form I can’t find my battery charger for the camera. So no picces I’m afraid..

Yesterday the DH bought new darker curtains for the bedroom , and with the piece of cardboard that was used as an insert he made DS1 a ‘laptop’ ,of course chaos ensued as DS2 wanted a laptop as well.. So today went to Argos and bought them a laptop each!  Nice little surprise was that instead of the £19.99 we had expected to pay they were reduced to £15.96! It was saved pocket money -the boys are always given pocket money from the grandparents each week and we save it up then once a fortnight they buy themselves a toy.

Last time it was two Vtech games for DS1 and a set of eight friction trucks for DS2. £22 and £15 respectively, any excess is thrown back into the savings tub for a rollover. They buy all their own small toys from pocket monies, it teaches them about value. They never trash their toys because ‘they bought’ them  and don’t want to spend anymore replacing them.. That’s a bit suspect but still..

Then again..

People can be strange, fickle creatures at the best of times. Who am I to make comment on that though eh?

Had a bit of an issue when I booted up the desktop tonight. For some bizarre reason it wouldn’t connect to the internet. Even though the broadband was working fine and dandy. So I’m on the laptop again and by gawds the keys are so fiddly and the screen is about three inches tall. Not really, but compared to the 21″ of the desktop this 17″ seems super tiny.

Yuki just mailed -the CC Design stamps that I mentioned in the post have been put on her site. I’ve just ordered them :)

I finished LA. Banks -Bad Blood this morning. It was a little slow to start but once it did ,it was a complete page turner. I have the second and third in the series and I was tempted to dive right in and start the next but Lisa Gardners’  The Neighbour has been yelling at me since the beloved bought it for me -two weeks ago ?

I’ve been up with the tiddlers since 5.21 am this morning and they finally went back to bed just about an hour ago. I’m waiting for the MP3 player to charge then I’m turning in meself!

So,we’ve started yet again with TC. He has an identity crisis so I best be careful with him. Not much happening to be honest ,but then again what ever changes in my little world.

There are a fair few more tweaks to go before I can let the universe pound him into smithereens , so hang on !
