On Our Way..

September 29th, 2009

The nestabilities have been posted (USPS International First Class ) along with two tan embossing mats ,that were thrown in for free!!

No word as yet about the Alphas but I’m not worried – it’s from a Power Seller with 100% and over 6,000 odds. Some people just aren’t on top of the communication bit especially when the weekly turnover is so high.

I found one last box of craft stash that needed clearing and whatdoya know? I found some gorgeous pebbles inc/memory makers Christmas rub ons which ,if I remember correctly I bought from acherryontop.com about three years ago!

I did make a start on the Christmas cards. A small start that is- I decided on a final design and got some card stock embossed..I have some Sugar Nellie Christmas stamps that I bought last year? I didn’ t get around to using them ( I went with some Elzybells stamps instead) so I might use them this time around.

I am totally busted for this month as far as purchasing craft stash.  I will have to cry poverty and get the Darling dearest hubbie to buy me frostbitten (Kelley Armstrong) which is out tomorrow.

I know already

I know I said that the order from CraftsULove was the last order for a while.. Well I lied..

I am a weak assed individual who has the unfortunate ability to spend money that she hasn’t earned yet..

I bought a 6×6 coredinations pack and placed a smallish order with ScrapbookVillage who just so happened to be offering a 25% discount this weekend..

I um also just bought myself two cuttlebug alphas (Harmony & Olivia) and the Nestabilities standard large and small circles with the scallop circles to match..Both are from the US incase you think I have lost my marbles entirely, so I saved a fair bit on UK prices. It does nothing to support the UK or my Global Footprint but there you go.

The alphas ran me £28 including shipping ,and the Nestabilities were a teensy £41 odd pence. I think I will save my blogging pennies next month and buy another set of the Nestabilities.

My SU order is due in soon, plus the new SU catty is out very, very soon so unless I find a craft store that is offering  a 100% discount plus free shipping then that is me until next month.

I was a very good girl yesterday and I have sorted my craft area completely. I dumped about three bin liners worth of stash, so it is all very neat and tidy!

Tomorrow evening I start my Christmas Cards.. I am SUPER ORGANISED WOMAN!! HEAR ME ROAR!!
I am also a very tired puppy, so I think I will creep quietly off to bed and pretend that I didn’t spend what I did tonight..

Still Here..

Still bumming my way around the Internet doing nothing much else but shopping!

I’ve been on a bit of a spending splurge recently..To be honest I think I’ve gone way over the £60 mark by now… eeeks My bad!

I am also on a mission to sort my existing stash mess and make it an um.. unmess.. I have too much stuff and half of it has never been used- just thrown into the cupboards etc and forgotten about it. Tonight’s order is the last and I mean it!! Craftsulove are offering free shipping until Friday evening, and I just love the variety that retailer offers, so yeah I filled a basket for myself!! Issue Eight of Creative Cardmaking and yet another CuttleBug folder plus a few stamps and some bits of paper is all it takes to make me a happy bunny!!

Well, gotta go!! I need to be up by 7.30am in order to make breakfast for the lads, so I am on an 11pm curfew!!

Back to me!

My eyesight has thankfully returned to semi normal! It still goes a bit wobbly when I get tired but other than that- I CAN SEE STRAIGHT!! Joy oh Joy!!

I have been busy getting my Christmas stash together, which has been fun. The postie has brought me a package every day this week, much to DHs’ disgust..It hasn’t been that much to be honest about £30 in total, but still he sees “packages of rubbish that I will never use” coming through the door at an alarming rate. It’s Christmas..almost

I have noticed that a lot of UK online retailers that I have used previously, have doubled their online prices to Northern Ireland. It does not cost £6.95 to send a magazine to Northern Ireland, and it certainly does not cost £10 to send a few ribbons and a packet of clear stamps over here. Of course it is their loss in the end , because there are hundreds of crafty retailers out there to shop with. Out of principle I would never cough up over £3.95 for postage, I understand that the Royal Pants have increased their prices and retailers have to adjust accordingly, but be reasonable people..

As I said, your loss and I will take my money elsewhere.

Been there,done what?

I have barely been online.. The MS relapse that I currently have going is stretching into three months now, my longest to date. My eyesight is basically with shot to pieces doublevision. Optic Neuritis, which simply translates to “swelling of the optic nerve” is fairly common with MSers with around 30-40% suffering an episode.

Life is a bitch and all that..I can take steroids to help it clear ,but that is something I want to avoid at all costs. 90% of people get through the bout within about 5 weeks without steroid intervention and I am approaching week three ,so hopefully I can get things back on track.

I haven’t been reading anything at all and that , for me,  is worse that anything I have ever experienced. October/early November I have  about four new releases out from the likes of Kelley Armstrong with the eagerly anticipated ‘FrostBitten’  and Lora Leigh with ‘HeatSeeker’ then Nalini Singh with ‘ Blaze of  Memory’ and that is just what I can recall of the top of my head.

It all goes to hell in a  hand basket doesn’t it ?

I guess the Open University will not be getting me back as a student come October..
