So we managed to survive last week! Our ickle family is once again complete!!

This is really just a play post in order to test the new theme. It isn’t mine but it will do for a spell. We put up our Christmas on Thursday- so in my world it is Christmas!!

My DH was diagnosed with suspected Swine Flu yesterday.

He came down with what we assumed was the usual flu on Wednesday.He  has been running about all over the place lately ,so it was expected really. He felt really bad yesterday ,so I got him an emergency appointment with his doctor. Basically the Doctor didn’t know if it was regular flu or not. DH’s temperature was raised but not excessively, so just to cautious he prescribed him Tami flu.

Of course chaos broke out.

He has been quarantined in the bedroom and I have been cast into the living room to sleep. Of course we have the worlds smallest and the most uncomfortable settee known to man.

DS1 has been collected by Grandpa and taken to school. He also returned took DS2 with him to spend the day with him and Granny. He did the same today but I wanted to keep DS2 at home with me. I missed them terribly yesterday.

DH is fine, it honestly looks like the ordinary flu, but we are treating it as Swine Flu just to be on the safe side. I also got the first of my Swine Flu vaccination. Talk about knee jerk reaction eh? It was also announced yesterday that the under fives will now be vaccinated against it and we will as soon as possible.

It all goes to hell in a hand-basket eh?

Crafting wise , I haven’t had time to fart to be perfectly honest but I have been shopping to make up for that!

Four Martha Stewart punches, a set of rectangle nesties, one Bug die and one sizzix die plus a ton of bazzil (and a subscription to 26 sheets if bazzil a month)  and a set of oval thingeys.

I probably bought more but I can’t remember. I have been a bad girl , I admit it!

On the plus side I landed two $30 dollar opps last night, so that is a guarenteed £50 next month. I need to get off my backside and find some more!!

Right, I was online briefly on Saturday afternoon but took Saturday and Sunday night off. Saturday night was spent watching a movie whilst snuggled up in bed with the Darling Husband.

Sunday I watched the XFactor result show, which I turned off in disgust then watched Doctor Who that I had recorded earlier. The DH then joined me at around 10.15 pm and he watched the rest of the NFL game.I wasn’t bothered to be honest but he turned it off after about ten minutes and channel hopped whilst reading a few gaming mags. I just lay there and tried to sleep. Eventually I did manage to drop of f at around 12.30 pm but then I was back up at 7.30 am to start the breakfast. I hate school.

Oh yeah at about ten pm the DH did come into the room and hand me two envelopes, both Christmas Cards one from his dad and one from his mum.. His mums’ card had just my name on it ,so I opened it first and £50 promptly feel out!!WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!

Once I got over the shock I opened the one from Grandpa and there was a wedge of notes stuffed in there. It did have my name and the two boys on it- my name was underlined for some reason but anyway! That bundle was get this--£450 quid !!

Why I have no clue.. I can understand the boys recieving a lump sum but me? Last year Grandpa gave me £200 in John Lewis gift vouchers – but cash?? wow..

I decided to split it £200 each for the boys and £50 for me- I still got a hundred quid! but Daddy disagreed. He wants the boys to get £100 each and I take the rest. I lodged it this morning ,so he will never know! I am death when it comes to taking money away from the boys when it was given to them in the first place. My Mother used to do it to me as a child and I hated it. I will spend it on them, but in smaller lumps so daddy never notices!!

oh DH? He got £1,000 in Cash.. Wanker.

I’m feeling a little out of sorts if I am to be honest..

I went to see my neurologist this morning.

After recounting the horrors of my prolonged relapse. He suggested that if I were to have another relapse then I should consider starting on Beta Interferon.I  think I stopped breathing.

The thought terrifies me. It just seems so-final ?

I haven’t been in denial about my MS , I deal with the problems everyday. I don’t know. I will have to research it a little more before I make a decision.

I haven’ t done any crafting over the weekend , mainly because I have the two boys at home , and they need to be occupied. DS1 is at school tomorrow and I do not plan to go out anywhere so hopefully I can manage to fit a bit in then!

I think I am going to head off to bed and listen to some music. I need to stop thinking for a while!!

The Bind-it-all was picked up today by the courier and is currently winging it’s way towards me…Not fast enough though!!

I have the journal pages and the mount-board all sitting waiting to be use!! grrr- lol it will get here in good time-I just wanted it yesterday!! Patience is not my strong suit I’m afraid!

We went to Dunelm Mill today. It was the DHs’ idea, he wanted another one of the TV blanket things that he bought the last time. Of course I headed into the Craft Department and walked out with some wonderful Bazzil basics card. You can’t have enough cardstock right?? The DH also bought this huge mother of all bean bags for £30. He is 6’5 but it is that big he looks like a child sitting on it!

I haven’t told him about the BIA yet.. Okay I paid for it with blogging money but he just thinks it is a waste of time and money. He got a glare from me when a courier delivery arrived for him yesterday. He bought another Wii and this time it really is wee! It’s black and it is about half the size of the original. He wanted it for the bedroom- why I have no clue but there you go..

Just one card to share. It is a Sugar Nellie stamp and the papers are from SU. My onderful SU rep, Tricia, sent them to me! I used my new SU punch-I think I love that punch already!

So ,I did it! I bought the Bind-it-All last night! It cost me £59.42 in all.. The machine was £49.99 then a set of 6 Wires plus 24 hour delivery by courier. I don’t think it was too bad!! The seller also gives a 10% discount on further consumables, overall I am pretty satisfied with that. Ruth (the seller) has organised the courier pickup for tomorrow , and I really cannot wait!!

I picked up the December issue of Craft Stamper and Creative CardMaking issue 9 from my usual sellers on eBay this evening as well.

Paul (my book dealer) has the fourth book in LA Banks Crimson Moon and the new Nalini Singh book both in stock. They will have to wait till next week though ,as I need to do the maths a bit , in order to see where I stand with the cash.

I do actually making cards with the things I buy. I don’t have  a huge amount of time because I have a family to hobble around after, but I have noticed that with the DS1 at school now ,I see to be able to have a bit more time to spend at playing with my toys.

Two cards to share; The Blue Blossom fairy is the monthly stamp club kit from LittleClaire. It did stick kinda close to the original design.

The second card ( I called him Ted) is an Alota Stamp that I purchased in a set direct from AlotaRubberStamps about two years ago now?

Spend oodles of cash before I have it? Well kinda but I was actually referring to me messing up and having to do a fresh install yet again!
