bllaaaaaaaaaaaaah

January 16th, 2010

I came into the Games/Craft room with the intention of having a massive clearout. I turned on the laptop in order to get some music in the background. And here I find myself online….

In the past two weeks I have purchased a ton of rubber stamps and the most I’ve done with them is just inked them up and coloured them. I need to actually make a complete card and not just a stamped image! I want to tidy up and get all the new stuff in order but I keep getting sidetracked. Badly.

I also need a new layout as this one is way beyond stale..

Yeah I’m rambling yet again.

It Never Ends

Dear Son One came home from School today and announced that he didn’t have enough pencils or crayons left in his pencil case. We can pick him up plenty of packets of crayons from the likes of Asda or even Tescos for pennies, but I was thinking for his actual writing pencils or pens I would get him something really special like a set of personalized pens.
I just know that he would really love something like that. I think maybe a set of colouring pencils as well instead of crayons though. They might last a little longer than crayons.
I have bought him countless packets of crayons from every store imaginable, but he just keeps snapping them into little pieces which either end up in the bottom of his bag or under the sofa ( don’t ask me how!)

The school insists on naming every single item that he brings into school ,so that would stop them from whinging about anything. It might also convince Dear Son One to take a little bit more care with his belongings.

So yeah, I do think that investing in something along those lines might be a wiser if  not cheaper option in the long run.

A new day..a new year

Well hello to 2010!

The hand is a lot better not 100% perfect yet but a lot better!

I looked up some CTS exercises on YouTube and they seem to have worked a treat, I haven’t made any full cards as yet I have just been stamping and colouring just to get back into the swing if things. Walking I can live without but losing mobility in my hands is my worst fear..I could not even butter toast or put a spoonful of sugar into a cup. Eating was virtually impossible, I am somewhat ambidextrous so I managed, but even so the urge to use my right hand was  just overwhelming. I’m hoping it was the CTS, we may never know but it doesn’t really matter because I have the use of my hands back and that is all that matters!

I haven’t gone made in the sales ,honestly I have purchased practically nothing this year.  The stamp crafter Jan/Feb editions and a new craft knife plus blades and that is it! I do have My mind’s Eye Pretty please collection pack, My December SU order plus a set of Anya’s that I got on the Inlovewithstamping forum but nothing from the sales!  I don’t buy because  I can or even want to, I buy when I need, and well I didn’t really need anything!?
