Well then.

I have to be honest here my varied and scattered posts are down to fact that I keep forgetting the password, then the email attached to it , there’s a whole mess to unscramble it but..

Its almost Christmas but for the most part the boys have been sorted. After much deliberation, on their part, it was decided that a Nintendo Switch and various games would be the main gift. Of course, on my ‘surprises’ role I went a little on the crazy side which included Nike winter jackets, Nike hoodies, ADIDAS tracksuit , an Under Armour tracksuit, more games on various platforms – I’ll stop there because it’s embarrassing and yes I did go OTT cos well seeing as Santa doesn’t come to over  the 10’s it my only opportunity to do that. It’s a bit sad that the Santa stage is over so soon, yes, they do indeed grow up so fast.

I have a Year Nine and a Year Seven who’s almost finished at Primary and ready to move to Secondary, and it looks like the younger boy may end up at the Grammar as well although I am having second doubts regarding the Grammar.

My doubts are not about the level or standard of Education which my son is currently receiving, just well, I won’t go into it any further just yet.

There’s the Pattern again..

I blog for a spell, then clear off for a few months, okay it’s been slightly more than, but why split hairs eh?

I have been binge watching a lot of Netflix (Doctor Who!) Shooter and most of the Marvel releases such as The Defenders,Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist as I said I have been binge watching whilst waiting impatiently for the new series of The Flash,Arrow,Lucifer and a long list of others.

I have also been reading a lot on my Kindle Fire, yes I know but my actual book collection exceeds more than 400 books so space is a problem, so rather than purge my books I bought a Kindle and signed up for Kindle Unlimited on Amazon, two months agoish and have read around 55 titles of varying genres..

Boys are fine , the elder just started Year Nine at LGS, and the younger who’s in Year Seven, does his AQE in October..

Rinse and Repeat..

So, I did another runner , and the Tories are still spewing out shite. I once was told that “90% of people are stupid and should be treated as such ” but to apply that to the whole of England? I always had a fair opinion and did know a few, a lot really, of thick brits but they have really outdone themselves this time.

Great Britain? No, not even that good to be honest . The anti Welfare brigade came out in force screaming for Cuts to be made , so they did and did again until they cut to close to the bone to the screamers , then all of a sudden it was a case of “We meant them, not us!”

Tough. You wanted it, you got it.Deal.But of course those people are too thick to realise what the Tory Scum are doing  to your country , in plain sight might I add.

Screaming from the roof tops that Labour did this and that but who’s been in power since 2010? George Osborne spent more in his five years as Chancellor than every combined Labour Government did..

So, while some might say Labour brought the country to its knees,  it was Tory blade that tore through its heart…

Bless Me Father, for I have sinned..

I did a very bad thing last night. A very ,very bad thing.
You may or may not know that I collect Funko Pop vinyl figures, I only started last May perhaps? Well, I have managed to collect somewhere in the region of 120 ish? As my dearly beloved husband loves to berate me on the topic “That’s £10 a pop – 120 you’ve wasted! ” err no dear slightly more than that BUT anyways a bunch of new Pops were released and they caught my eye as I have several of the same theme in my collection.

Harry Potter, Once Upon a Time, Civil War and Marvel Pops. Well, it started on the 19th of September when a Newt Scamander was released – its from the new Movie ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them ‘ you know from the Oh it’s Harry Potter related , you should really know if you’ve read HP. It’s a Newt with egg – I have the SDCC which was released a monthish previous, I bought him from Forbidden Planet. Then on the 23rd I bought the Civil War Winter Soldier with a missing arm, a HP Triwizard with egg and a Jareth from Labyrinth all of which are Hot Topic exclusives again from Forbidden Planet. On the 30th I bought Oz from Buffy ( I also nabbed a now vaulted Buffy )on eBay but they don’t count here. On the 4th of October I snagged a sparkly Edward Cullen from Twilight but last night, oh dear last night…

Last night I did a very bad thing. A very, very bad thing thing. An incredibly bad and naughty thing in the mouth of Christmas when there are bills to be paid, gifts to be bought with TV licences and Car Insurances to be renewed..

I did a bad thing.
Husband was watching the Broncos last night ( don’t speak ) I was lying in bed with my iPad allegedly finishing my Sims ( DirtyLittleSecretShame) ..

Except I went on to Forbidden Planet again – I should be blocked from that site but – I was on Forbidden Planet and I bought somethingssss….

My Bad

Wonders Never Cease..

So the Tories,in all their wisdom have decided that those with Chronic Illnessses will no longer need the constant reassessments that over the past few years we have had to endure.

Wow. In 2010 they introduced the Work Capability Assessment to determine who could possibly work and who couldn’t. It sounded fair enough to me, unfortunately I have M.S and with regards to my illness I have nothing to hide,so it sounded a reasonable enough procedure to go through.

I figured they would do an initial ‘in house’ process to weed out the incurables – people with secondary M.S, Downs and so forth, then pull in the ‘maybes’ folks with Relapse Remitting M.S etc because I know a lot of R.R peeps can and do work because they were diagnosed during their working career and just ‘get on with it’ for as long as possible ( myself included )

But oh no, they couldn’t possibly use common sense here . We all know that anyone claiming Incapacity Benefit was a faker, a scrounger, a lazy fat sponger pulling a fast one, yeah we know the likes *rolls eyes* and besides it would be much more fun to pull in every single one of them psychologically torture them for a bit, leave them on the breadline for a few months then tell them ” The computer says No ‘

And that’s exactly what they did.For nearly six years under the guise of helping the disabled people back into work, supporting us, not writing off any disabled person, giving us a chance on a level playing field because we all know a disabled person biggest hurdle in preventing them from working isn’t the fact that they can’t get transport to and from work, nor is finding an employer who is willing to accommodate your disability needs or the very small point of maybe that disabled person cannot manage physically or have cognitive capabilities to do the job in question but that they think they are disabled therefore they act disabled.

Cutting a long story short here the Tories used the discredited Bio Psycho Social Model meaning we can unthink ourselves from being disabled. They then brought in Unum and Atos into the equation and wrapped into a nice tidy little package using the mantra Work will Set You Free or “Arbeit Macht Frei in other words.

But now they have decided that it isn’t that much fun to do anymore after all.*Blinks*

Oink

I am Soo never gonna get the hang of this blogging thing! I start with all these wonderful aspirations and goals of doing the bloggy thing ‘properly’ this time. And I don’t ..I fail in the most spectacular way every time.I mean EVERY TIME!

So this time, take or leave it I guess ?

The  Older boy has started secondary school. He did indeed pass his AQE ( transfer test) so we enrolled him into a local Grammar. Don’t get all shirty and uppity about it , that boy started school at barely four years old,he has adored school, loved learning ‘stuff’ sorry but he has always been an academic ,not athletic much to his dismay ,but well there it is.

He loves it,all the strange and wonderful new subjects to get to grips with.He is truly in his element. I do have some small reservations about Grammar, but for him it seems to be the correct environment.

He’s happy so therefore I am happy!

Meh,life updates and stuff

So. yeah opps sorry and all that- I have ben uber busy, seriously so. Been reading tons and my current TBR list is off the scale. Christmas is fast approaching so we have been getting the stuffs in for the boys.

Not a lot of toy play toys this year, as they are getting older ( Eight and 10 respectively) so far we have a mini iPad each and a new Nintendo 3D XL bundle as their main “sancta’ gifts

Smaller gifts include Ninjago shirts, Liverpool training tops, desktop football ,a magazine subscription, scooters and books by the bucket load.

Both boys are taking part in the Accelerated Reading Program at school and its kinda meh. The main issue (according to the boys) is the restrictions placed on their levels. Both are a the top level but the younger boy in particular is complaining that it is stopping him from reading the books he wants. He is reading Jeremy Strong atm but he’s already read most of his stuff because the older boy went through a JS kick about two years ago and I bought him about 30 of his books. I  just told him to read what school gives him, and I will cover anything else he wants at home.

Quiet Please!

So, I’m sitting here typing this out on the Ipad Air not the easiest thing to do but never mind 😀
Hubbies has taken the younger boy with him on an errand.I’m left behind (thankfully) with the older, who is currently jumping around like a loon whilst listening to Queen. Yes, he’s ten years old and is into them BigTime. Luckily his rents are and have always been huge fans so he has their entire back catalogue to peruse at his leisure 😂 as long as he finishes tidying his room then it’s all good. I have held two of the new books that I bought him back as an added incentive. He’s a big reader and according to school test thingies he’s around 16-17 level.Scary but he does take after me in that department. My dad gave me the ability to love books,so in turn I passed that onto my boys.Small boy is around 12 year range so all is good. Both are in top tiers at school and doing very well indeed. Older boy enters Year 7, so it’s a big year for him with sitting the Transfer Test 😝
I have just finished Hard Landing by Stephen Leather,it’s a re- read as I first encountered Stephen Leather via iTunes and my IPod many years ago,and I’m starting on Soft Target shortly. Again it’s a re-read for me but hey it’s Spider Shepard and gads know I can’t get enough of him.Black Ops just came out and once I finished it I was salivating somewhat ,and not looking for an 18 month wait for the next, the opportunity to purchase the first six arose and as I did not have them in hard copy I fell on them.Happy days 😎
